The legend of rap music, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie turned 29 years old on 10th of July, 2017.
An expert of the Ghanaian music industry, Sarkodie “blew up” into the local music scene in 2009 and has since gone on to feature US rapper Ace Hood, and new Nigerian singing impression Patoranking.
In a post shared on July 9th, 2017, a few hours to midnight on his official social media profile, Sarkodie captions a photo of himself with the words, “Thanking God for Life,” suggesting that the rapper is thankful to see another year.
Sarkodie is the first Ghanaian artist to have won the Black Entertainment Television’s (BET) Best International Act Africa, doing so in the year 2012. His BET let Ghanaian artist know that a BET award could be likely given that they worked hard in better then music, paving the way for the likes of Stonebwoy and others.
