Philippe Coutinho on Neymar return to Barcelona
Barcelona star Philippe Coutinho has today opened up on the rumours of a possible reunion between the Blaugrana and former Camp Nou favourite Neymar.
Following months of speculation, Brazilian attacker Neymar finally made the move from Barcelona to French giants Paris Saint-Germain in August of last year, for a world-record fee of 222 million Euro.
The 26-year-old has since gone on to enjoy a scintillating start to life in the French capital, having racked up an incredible 25 goals and 16 assists in 27 appearances between Ligue 1 and the Champions League.
However, rumours have been mounting over recent weeks regarding Neymar’s frame of mind at the Parc des Princes, with claims in Spain that the South American regrets ever leaving Barcelona.
As such, inevitable reports have emerged that Barca could look to bring the Santos youth product back to the club at some stage in the future, with Ivan Rakitic having admitted yesterday that he would welcome Neymar back with open arms.
‘Open the door’

Speaking at the the presentation of the Mediterranean International Cup, Neymar’s international teammate and close friend, Phillipe Coutinho, explained:
‘With Neymar, that’s life, but I have the same feelings as Rakitic.’
‘He is a great player.’
‘I play with him for the international team and it is a real privilege.’
‘It would be great if he came back and of course we would open the door to that.’
‘A great player’
Coutinho also discussed highly-regarded Brazilian midfielder Arthur, after Barcelona confirmed the signing of the 21-year-old from Gremio over the weekend:
‘He is also a great player and another who I have played with at international level.’
‘What he brings is a lot of quality and personality on the field.’
‘That can be seen in any games you watch him in and he’s also a great guy off the field too.
