Diddy Changes His Name To Love
Another birthday, another name. Sean Combs has changed his moniker once again.
In honor of his 48th birthday, the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy, Puffy, P. Diddy, and Diddy has chosen a new alias—Love aka Brother Love.
“I know it’s risky,” he told fans in his announcement video. “It could come off as corny to some people. I decided to change my name again. I’m just not who I am before. I’m something different. So my new name is Love aka Brother Love. I will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy, or any of my other monikers.”
Brother Love celebrated his 48th birthday on Saturday (Nov. 4) on an island in Mexico, where he was joined by several friends, including French Montana, who is turning 32 on Nov. 9.
Other friends wished Diddy a happy b-day on social media. “You remind us all of the importance of #blackexcellence and most importantly to ‘enjoy your fuckin life.’ Happy birthday big bro,” wrote Usher.
Love also celebrated himself on his b-day. “Happy Birthday to ME!!!!” he tweeted. “Thank you all for the well wishes! GOD IS THE GREATEST!!!!”
