David De Gea demands Jose Mourinho showdown for one reason

David De Gea demands Jose Mourinho showdown

Comments

Manchester United boss had to smooth things over with David De Gea after he offended the player following a draw with West Brom, and made sure that the player knew he didn’t mean to offend him, and was just making a joke with his comments.

The MEN report Mourinho said: “David De Gea was sleeping and he did the funny thing at the end.

“I was laughing at that,” and the comments were enough for De Gea to ask for showdown talks with him and clarify his position – and was immediately told by the United boss that he valued De Gea highly, and was certainly someone he wanted in his team.

De Gea is a fan favourite and is one of the best players in the world – and arguably the best goalie, meaning Real Madrid are keen on bringing him back to Spain – and United are trying to convince him a new deal should be signed.

Ambition

Another thing De Gea is worried about is of course making sure that his side are ready to match the ambition he has in terms of winning trophies and titles – and it seems that he wants to make sure the club can match his ambition – and after being outshone so badly by Manchester City in the league this season, he will certainly want to be sure the club can win titles and trophies while he’s there and especially if he considers penning a new deal with the Red Devils.
