Well, many of you may have faced this problem. Sometimes we are not able to click good photos with our phone. Many times the fault is ours because maybe we did not adjust the camera settings or other things and other times maybe your Android’s camera is really not so good.
But you know what?
You can increase the camera quality of your Android phone. There are ways in which camera quality of Android devices can be increased.
Today, I’m going to tell you about some small but very helpful and important things to keep in mind, so that you can click great photos with your Android smartphone. Just pay attention to these little things and get improved picture quality with your Androidphone.
How to improve camera quality of Android phones
Always clean your lens
Always remember to clean your android phone’s lens before taking any picture. If you click photos without cleaning the lens then you will regret it later. Lens accumulates micro particles of dust and dirt easily. When you use your mobile or keep it in your pocket, lens will get dirty and will make your picture blur and terrible.
So, it is better to swipe the lens before taking a picture. Once you clean the lens, you will be surprised to get those sharp and great pictures.
How to Increase Camera Quality of Android Phones
Make sure your hand is stable
Well, it’s obvious that your hand will shake while taking pictures. A lot of people have this problem. But the shaking hand can ruin your pictures.
If your hand is not stable while taking a photo then the picture will not come out clear. So, make sure that your hand is stable while clicking a picture. You can rest your elbow on something so that it stays stable.
You can also turn on stable shot option. This will help you a lot for making your hand stable. Stable shot setting will use phone’s accelerator to show how much you’re shaking, it won’t click the photo until the phone is stable.
Adjust the Exposure
Exposure plays an important role in taking good pictures with your Android phone. In the case when there is dimmer light then you can set the exposure to a higher value.
Setting the exposure high would let more light enter into the lens and it would result in bright and beautiful photos.
Set the Resolution
No doubt that higher the resolution is, better the pictures would be. Most of the Android phone provides Resolution setting so that you can set the resolution according to your need. If you want to take photos for MMS etc. then smaller resolution is great for that purpose as it will load faster and take lesser memory space.
But if you want to take high quality pictures then higher resolution is necessary for great pictures. So, always make sure that you set higher resolution before taking pictures otherwise you will be disappointed by the resultant photos. This will surely improve the camera quality of your Android phone.
Use flash accordingly
We know that flash in smartphones helps a lot when there is no light or dim light for taking pictures. It makes the photos sharp and clear. But most of the people think that if they use flash their pics will come out to be great always. But it’s not true. Yes! always using flash while taking photos is not a good idea.
You should use flash only when there is no light or very dim light. But if there is plenty of natural light available then avoid using flash, as it will make them unnatural and trust me you will not like your photos as well. Instead, go with the natural light available, you will get clear and attractive photos.
Digital Zoom – A big NO
Almost every Android phone comes with digital zoom option. But it is of no use. I mean if you zoom your photos using digital zoom option, then it will definitely zoom it but will take away the quality of the photos. Digital zoom will make the photos dull and blurry.
So, if you want to click the closer shot then instead of using digital zoom option, you should go closer to the subject. Another alternative to digital zoom it to crop the picture later. This way you will get the photo as per your liking and the photo quality will also be retained.
You can also use an attachable lens. You only need to attach the lens on your camera’s lens and they will give some special effects to your photos.
No one can imagine taking good pictures in the absence of light. So, before snapping any photo, make sure that the subject is facing the light. Low light is the biggest reason of getting bad photos. It will steal the quality of pictures and make them dull.
Therefore, it is necessary to find a place where there is enough light before taking photos.
Now-a-days filters are in trend. They can make any bad-looking photo an attractive one. So, if you are not getting good pictures normally then go for the filters.
In most of the Android phones, there are in-built filters in the camera itself. Switch to your favorite filter and take photos.
If there is no inbuilt filters in your mobile’s camera then download some good filters app and apply filters to your pictures later. There are many free filter apps available in the Play store. You can download any of your choice.
Adjust your Camera settings
To improve your Android phone’s camera quality itt very necessary to know your phone’s camera setting. every phone comes with some default camera setting in it. But you need to change those setting according to your need.
Click some photos with different settings and find out which setting gives the best result. You should know how to control ISO, Exposure, White-balance, focus etc.
Play with HDR
HDR can make a photo sharp, accurate and vibrant making it look great. But it’s important to know when to use HDR and when to avoid. HDR works best when you snap a landscape scene. It makes it more accurate and cool. This feature can greatly improve picture quality.
If you can’t avoid the backlighting. Means, if the subject’s back is facing the light then HDR can help you a lot in this situation. It will balance out the contrast and the photo will not be dark.
But it’s very bad idea to use HDR while clicking vivid colors as it will make them more vivid. Also, if you want high level contrast then it’s better to avoid using HDR because it will take away that effect.
Download different camera apps
After implementing all of the above tips, if still you’re not happy with your Android phone’s camera quality then opt for some third-party camera apps available in the Play store.
